Good Things
Oct. 9th, 2009 11:33 amI got up early today and did Pilates before work. I'm out of shape, but I feel pretty good for doing it.
Driving over the Charles on the way to 128, and marveling on how beautiful our hood can be: Watch Factory on the river, Mt. Feake Cemetary on the other side, colored leaves all over.
Had a good, interesting meeting. It makes getting there for 7:30 AM a bit less painful.
It's Friday, and we're seeing friends tonight for pizza and Clone Wars. I may even bake some cookies after work to bring along if I'm motivated. Yay baking! Or maybe I'll just buy something schmancy from the bakery a couple of blocks down.
Wearing a funky scarf today that I bought at my first Dragoncon inside the little Asian store that used to be along the walkway between the Marriott and the mall that connected to the Hyatt. I'm not a big scarf person, but this reminds me of the magic of that first year (kind of like the silk scarf I got in Como reminds me of the magic of that day, and being on the shores of Naboo).
Excitement for fall activities: NEG/AB events, halloween, foliage, walking through seaport town faires, pumpkins and apples and that kind of thing.
The yummy homemade black bean/veggie stew, just waiting for me to heat it up for lunch. With the last of the pumpernickle bread from Russos.
