Life

It is flashing by. It goes faster as you are older, but so much more so as a parent. Very weird.

I'm so happy fall weather is here - best time of the year! Apple picking with Mina was great! Being home and getting things done is great!

Taking a small cut in pay to have Mondays off is so worth it. We have a slow morning, go to her developmental play group at Cobblestones, and run an errand or go for a walk. Napping is going better too. If we time it right, she'll go down awake, fuss about 5 minutes and fall asleep. I type now as she sleeps on me - she woke up screaming after about 40 minutes earlier, but nestled into my shoulder back to slumber when I picked her up. I love to snuggle with this girl, so I'll take what I can get.

She is less a baby every day! Sitting, crawling, pulling to a kneel or stand. Loves taking things out of boxes. And 'helping' me in the kitchen. And music. And dancing. And laughter. We ate so in love with our muffin.

We were losing track of our selves and each other, so we resolved this week to be a fresh start. Back to dedicated free time alone and also couple's time. Back to the gym and dance class. More time at home.

"The days are long, but the years are short" indeed.
