Is it Friday yet?
Jan. 20th, 2004 08:24 amLast Thursday was crazy at work while I was preparing for a Friday meeting. Early this week will be crazy while I prepare for a Wednesday meeting. Traffic made it take me an hour and 1/2 to get home last night. Doing the Goddess Dancing workout was just what I needed to unwind: http://www.thegoddessdancing.com/thevideo.htm (heh, their page is a bit broken right now).
I want to take a break from sewing and spend some time working on my Arwen Crown. Can anyone suggest a good supplier for wire to fashion the crown out of (that will be pounded flat with a hammer)? I picked up some beads weeks ago that I can start stringing to use for the drapes.
We watched a bit of the History Channel Barbarian series last night - I made it through the Vikings show and the start of the Goths show. Did you know that Vikings came to Waltham? No shit! Here's some info: http://world.std.com/~daedalus/Norumbega/norumbega.html . We used to go feed ducks down the street from here when I was a kid and then picnic in the park next to the tower. At that time you could actually walk up to the top (its been closed for years due to kids drinking in there at night and leaving broken glass all over the place).
Oh, does anyone know what time the state of the union address tonight is?
TV is a novel concept for us - usually I'm doing homework and B is geeking so we don't watch much of it at all. Still, its nice having one so that we can catch a movie if we're home one night and free, or to see things like manly, long-haired men that sack monasteries to steal gold. :)

Date: 2004-01-20 10:04 am (UTC)Gage, hmm. I have to do some more research on the thickness (I was hoping to do that later this week at work - its too nuts now). Aluminum would be good (shiny and light) :)
Thanks! I think the place Brian just ordered his aluminum rings from also sells wire but it took them FOREVER to ship his order.
Oh yeah, the dress is backordered (again), estimated ship date is 2/18, grrr!
