Move along, its just Dancer being crabby again
Car stuff:
My car has been leaking oil. This doesn't really make a lot of sense, and its due for an oil change and its really late for its 90,000 mile tuneup. I threw another bottle in this morning before work and ended up covered in the crap. Luckilly Brian was able to get up and help me get the damned cap off - it was stuck. I need to call Saturn and see if I can get in there ASAP. The tuneup will cost me $400 (which is why I've been procrastinating), and who knows what else they'll find. I have a 2000 Saturn Coupe and I've got 98,000 miles on it from all of the driving I've done! I have a 100,000/10 year warranty. Here's hoping I get to the dealer before the thing expires because with my luck lately I'll need a new engine or something.
Thesis stuff:
PCHI told me that there's no way they'll get the data in time that I need for my thesis. I e-mailed my contact at the insurance company and asked if she could run a query and send me a cut of the data instead (I figure, I've signed the confidentiality agreement and I download this stuff on my own anyway - its just usually I get it 2 months after PCHI was supposed to). I need to know today what's going to happen, because if I can't get that data I'm going to have to change the focus of my research (and my preliminary data analysis is due next week). I won't be able to compare 2003 and 2004 data (which was the whole purpose of this project!) - I'll need to just focus on comparing different elements of the 2003 data set. This sucks, a lot. It will be doable if it happens and all, but it will mean I'll have to go back and re-do a lot of work that I've already done.
Weekend stuff:
I'm also feeling like an ass because our anniversary (the 5th one, kind of a big one some would say) is Saturday. Have we planned anything? No. We have lunch plans and there's a party at night; we haven't figured out how to celebrate in between them (I think its supposed to be rainy too). Oh yeah, and Sunday is Easter (so presumably I'll be doing family stuff - that's still not planned yet). And at some point in all of this fun I'm doing homework too? Oh yeah, and if someone wants to come look at our house we'll need to vacate the premises.
I really hate when I get in these kinds of moods because they aren't "me", you know? God I can't wait for this semester to be over! 4 more weeks of Evaluations classes and 5 more weeks of my Master's Paper class. The week following class is when the final work will need to be finished and passed in.
