dancerjodiAn e-mail from my Dad (for reference, the painting he's talking about is a tribute to the 6 firefighters killed years back in the massive Worcester Warehouse fire - and we may get to meet Dennis Leary!)
"Hi Weaner,
I am really happy for you, now I can ride my bike down and paint all day in my new porch studio, I should have the dining room for myself also for storage and if the weather is bad or I want to drink beer with my Bowling Leage buddies !!!
I can pop over Monday to meet Brian at 330 if you like, it really sounds nice, Congratulations Weaner, you are the most driven Weaner I know, love you, you make me proud !!!
Also Uncle Lenny would be proud of Brian's Mother Teresa comment...Ya man...kick the bitch !!!!! (Lenny would just shoot the Bitch !!)
I had a great meeting with some Worcester FF folks, they were blown away with the painting, one said it was like an emotional tidal wave that kept going over him the more he looked, they all said it made them feel good and was the
best tribute they could imagine. I now have to present to the Big FF union presidents on the 18th of May, 2 other FF pipe and drum brigades and Dennis Leary's brother who oversees the charitable foundation.
Dennis himself may be there in July, if not we are guests and so is the painting at the 5th year reunion. I think I unleashed a monster !!

The painting really is amazing . . . the colors are all oranges, yellows and blacks. The work my Dad has been doing was good before, but he's gotten REALLY good given more time to paint.
