re: wardrobe - check Target - I got one there last year, and it's larger (widthwise) than a "regular boston closet" (about 1.5-2x), but is mostly made of fabric, and therefore, collapsable.
re: table - have you tried/thought of an 8ft. folding table? Not the lightest thing in the world, but it'd hold stuff.
re: movers - have you tried looking on/posting to boston.craigslist.com? If I hear of anything else, I'll let you know.
