Painting fools

Brian did the wall paint in the computer room last weekend. Tonight he'll be taking care of the trim. I'll be patching, priming and painting the upstairs bathroom (i.e. the one that will have a Nightmare Before Christmas Theme). Its about time to get it done - I've been procrastinating. Here's hoping I can find where the spackle and drill ended up. All of our tools got moved to the basement and are kind of in a heap on the toolbench.
Brian can (hopefully) put up the cabinets I bought last week before we head to goffee tomorrow - one for over the toilet and a larger medicine cabinet for over the sink. I'm hoping those will cut it and won't cause things to be too cramped in there (within reason; it is a tiny bathroom after all). At the moment there is stuff piled one on top of the other in bins in the small linen closet that was originally in there, and that's just not going to cut it since its a massive ordeal to find anything!
After that, all that remains is putting things away into said new cabinets (and getting rid of the stacked bins - hopefully only linens, duh, will be in the linen closet), putting up things like towel racks and toilet paper holders, and figuring out how to put the curtain over the corner linen cabinet that's there now. It had doors but they would prevent us from being able to put another cabinet over our toilet - using a curtain instead of doors would allow access to the linen closet AND a new over-toilet cabinet, so I took off the doors. I'm going to be using this black fabric that Brian had in the computer room in Framingham that's got silver spiderwebs all over it. We've yet to figure out the best way to put the curtain up, since the space is too narrow for a regular curtain or tension rod.
This weekend we'll try and make our dining room look like a dining room. We're going to do some shopping around on Saturday for decent but cheap sets that work with our decor. At the moment all the china, some prints, and a bunch of dining room related knick-knacks are in a corner on the floor due to nowhere to go. We're hoping we'll find a swanky deal at the Salvation Army in Saugus ;)
Once we're done with those last painting jobs we can finish COMPLETELY unpacking the 2nd floor and we can take some photos to share with you all (if the stuff in the dining room sits for a bit, its not a huge deal). Of course there are always little projects to be done (duh, I'm a Marmonti) but at least it will look more like a house and less like a storage facility.
We're going to goffee tomorrow so that I can try on a white PVC outfit I'm buying from Gala (if it fits) and to give some computer thing to Tember that's been sitting in the trunk of my car for weeks. Oh yeah - and the burritos . . . Anna's makes such yummy food and I'm totally addicted!
