dancerjodiThe pants I sewed last night fit Brian (yay), so now I'm moving on to sewing the red velvet tunic. I have a pattern to start with but need to edit the collar/neckline to match how its supposed to go. Click on these to see the various options for the patterns. I'll be making the first one in Muslin before cutting into the real stuff. After that, I make the blue pleather one which has A DIFFERENT collar/neckline - more muslin. Brian will have the fun of painting the Tree of Gondor onto it . . . detailed painting work is not my forte. Whee, fun.
Feline and Tzizzzizzzizzz (heh, I'm lazy and I can't remember the spelling) came over last night to join us for dinner and crafting. We also subjected them (well, *I* subjected them) to the Triumph the Insult Dog skit with the Star Wars Nerds. Bwahahaha! I even got Feline calling Tziz "a huge nerd". Tee hee! It is much nicer doing sewing projects with other people around, because I'm such a social creature and like to chat while I'm working.
I'll be bringing crafty stuff with me to goffee tonight since I'm going to be working on the things whenever I have free time and I'm not at work or at a club or something. I do not want the prep this year to be as last minute as last year :) On a similar note, I have to try on the bits I have to make sure everything is working OK (like the groupie outfit). I can't wait to see how that Mara Jade looks!
