Brian and I were having so much fun spending the day together yesterday, that we decided to spend the night together too. I wasn't really excited about going out anywhere (no offense to the Skybar or NEDSW peeps), so we had Indian food, watched a Dario Argento movie from 1975 (I'm really loving his movies), some Justice League (that made both Star Wars and Matrix references, rock!), and headed to bed.

Today I will go out to find the perfect birthday gift for him. Bwahahah! I'm off to hop in the shower and then call my partner in crime (who I haven't hung out with for a while), so no stitching and bitching in NH for me today, unfortunately.

Yesterday while driving with the windows down (one of my favorite things) he commented that he "likes having me back on the weekends". This no school thing will never get old!

I picked up the fabric for one of the DragonCon costumes. I'm hoping to get sewing it this week.

Brian and I like Bombay Mahal the best (kind of across the street from Outer Limits) and New Mother India (next to the big thrift store) the 2nd best.

We weren't crazy about the place next to Erawan of Siam (near the little coffee shop on the corner of high street) and Brian really disliked Jewel of India (but I've never tried them).

We have yet to try any of the Indian grocery stores for supplies to cook at home - at some point we'll do that.

Ooh, what are you planning for DragonCon?

"Ooh, what are you planning for DragonCon?"

A vintage 1940s catwoman (purple and green dress) and if I can pull it off, the Mary Poppins Jolly Holiday dress (white, red and pink, an Edwardian style). Also, its not sexy or anything, but Brian and I are working on getting me an AT-AT pilot costume together for 501st stuff. It will allow me to participate in more cool events that they only want the troopers for (and I love the AT-ATs, they are so cute, in that, evil, destructive, step on everyone sort of way) :)

Right now I'm still working on sewing Ashton's Han Solo shirt, though its looking like I'll be done (finally) in the next week or so. :) After that I can start sewing for myself. Its seriously been, a year, since I made something for myself!

So I thought of you today when I went into the Hot Profit here at Houston Galleria. They had a Princess Leia T-shirt that said something like It's up to me to save our ass. It was cute.

You know Disney aside, Mary Poppins had great clothes in that movie.

I have one (the babydoll-T). Its a quote from the movie: "Somebody's got to save our skins" :)

Totally! I've always loved that movie (I have a thing for musicals) and that dress was my favorite. It should definitely be a challenge!
