here. I did skip dancing last night (and thanks to the tax goddess Tiamatlady we'll have $ to help fund our trip). The nondrowsy cold medicine is a GREAT improvement this morning, and I have visine (it gets the red out!) and plenty of herbal tea to keep me going at work today. I think another couple of low-key, early to bed nights will kick this cold.
My co-worker got a new car. Though I wouldn't choose her selection persay I have to say I'm jealous. I'm hoping in summer of 2006 to get a new one (mine will be paid off). Its time to buy something on purpose (rather than "oh shit, my car is dead, I need a new one"). Also, I want something larger, not so low to the ground, and with more pickup. And green. And with a new car smell. And with a remote starter. And a CD player that's got a line-in (so I can plug in my ipod). I should probably start saving now! ;) It will be another Saturn, since I really love them, their mechanical record, the fact that they are still domestic, and their company culture.
Music selections for the day:
Switchblade Symphony, Bread and Jam for Frances
Shadows Fall, The Art of Balance
Prince, Musicology
Desert Roses + Arabian Rhythms (compilation)
Bellydance Superstars (compilation)
Motley Crue, Red White and Crue (the concert is 3/5, I'm psyched!)

Date: 2005-02-16 11:10 am (UTC)I was about to say, Want to buy my 3/4 ton extended-cab pickup truck? But it's not green or new or any of that stuff.
Damn,
Date: 2005-02-16 12:14 pm (UTC)It is a REALLY sweet truck though! Since Brian has the Ram, one of us has to have the smaller city car to make parking (and paying for gas) a bit easier). So no trucks for me.
What I'd *really* like would be a fully restored 1979 Chevy Monte Carlo (in dark blue). Since its not very practical that's something that will have to wait until I have the $ to throw away on a car just for fun (but hey, at least I have a garage to put it in!). If I can't have the dream car, I don't really care what I have (hence the Saturn: cheap, safe, dependable).
