On the health/fitness note
Sep. 15th, 2005 01:15 pmI've been a subscriber to Self Magazine for some time. I usually enjoy it and it helps motivate me. I've also tried the Self Challenge (an annual 'get your butt in gear' program they do each February that lasts three months) a couple of times.
I went to their website to see what they had in terms of online resources for tracking workouts, a food diary, etc. This http://www.self.com/goal/ is looking pretty neat! I chose option 2. It will let me track food, workouts (and will calculate est calories burned from a nifty dropdown list that not only mentions dance as an exercise but gives various types of dance to select from). Not that I'm going nuts over measuring, its just tracking things easily somewhere will serve to motivate me. They always have nice workout suggestions, nutritional information and recipes.
4 cardo and 3 strength workouts a week (for the first month)? No problem! I'll start tracking next Monday (the site wants to start on a Monday) but at least I can use it for a guide for this week.
