When I called my bank to cancel my debit card, the customer service rep was astounded by the story--although it was comforting to find that my account information was already flagged with a warning. Luckily the Globe did not have my routing information or anything like that, so I think I'm all set with getting a new debit card.
That article mentioned Reilly's looking into possible charges. I support that effort--this is just unconscionable.
