WW week 3 results
Jul. 12th, 2006 07:58 amStart: 147
Current: 138
Total loss: 9 lbs
2 lbs lost last week! This brings me down to my normal wait before the 10 lb gain about 3 years ago. You know what this means? This means I've lost that weight before my annual doctor's visit (which is tomorrow), which was my hope for this year (and was an unspoken new year's resolution to myself).
I have 5 more to go to get to my initial goal (based on a WW suggested 10% loss), though, I'd imagine I'll creep higher than that if I get off my butt and start a weight routine. I'd also imagine that weight will either creep off slowly now or stay put for a bit until I ramp up my activity.
Either way, I'm ecstatic. My primary goal was to lose those 10 lbs and "a little more", whatever that is. I'm really still amazed with this whole thing, because I haven't felt like I've been depriving myself of anything reasonable.

Date: 2006-07-12 01:00 pm (UTC)I bet that people who are not as physically active as you are don't see results this dramatic after the first week.

Date: 2006-07-12 01:51 pm (UTC)When you start to do more weight training, you will probably find that you will either stay at your current weight, maybe even gain a little, but you will lose inches. And THAT is what counts the most. You are losing fat which is better health-wise. Though, it IS a bit disconcerting to see the number on the scale go up, but when your clothes are practically falling off your body (which they are doing right now, right?), it almost seems ok. At least to me. I know I don't look like I weigh as much as I do - or so people tell me (they are either being truthful or lying to make me feel better). So, even if I want to be at 135 and a size 8, I may be able to get to a size 8, but weight 150. My body will take up less space.
Go Dancer!!!
