Friday's Intergalactic Bellydance: a 2.5 hour drive to Falmouth (ouch), trooping with bellydancers, having great food and then dancing out of armor was a lot of fun. It reinforced that Egyptian style dance is probably my most favorite, in its formality and potential choreography. I talked a bit with the Jewels of Jamal folks about lessons in the Boston area, and my past experiences.

Saturday's Wayside Inn Wedding: so pretty! It was one of the most moving ceremonies I've seen, all of the little details were so special and so worth it, more yummy food and more fun dancing. Cider donuts! Sexy kisses! Safety Dance!

Saturday's Sandweasel Wedding: oh my God! A sweet (but cold) outdoor ceremony including vows from The Corpse Bride, reception in the larger back room of a place we've been before (Promises to Keep in Derry), and the most party animal wedding I've been to. Much loud singing and dancing was done, including The Humpty Dance and Faith No More. So fun! Had we not been so pooped after hitting 3 weddings in 24 hours we would have hit the after party.

I helped my parents unpack today, visited Nana briefly (she was weak from reacting to a new cancer drug, so we didn't stay long). Their new space is looking good and is comfy, and their old space is looking quite weird (but not sad, as I feared it may). After take out from The Chateau I headed home to be productive here for a bit. Its weird, but our house gets so messy from just a couple of crazy days where we're running in and out, discarding armor bits in random places.

Brian's home from building a parade float (next weekend will be Halloween events galore, most of them trooping) and we've caught up a bit with recorded shows. I *heart* John Stewart and Mario's ballroom dancing, and Supernatural, and TAPS.

Have a great week all!

My teacher Jemileh mentioned dancing with Amira Jamal at a wedding with a bunch of stormtroopers--figured it was you guys. :)
Had some difficulty convincing her no, really, I was pretty sure I knew that crowd, even though I wasn't there.

That's a whole lotta weddings in one weekend.
