Good Things
Aug. 27th, 2008 09:27 amJoan and Ed's Deli (and their white-white cake)
Exploring old fabric in the attic, remembering those projects and planning for future ones. We really do have a very cool attic.
Petting Mal on the couch and getting his white hair everywhere.
Chai on a cool morning.
New pants for work that are super comfy and look good to boot. I'm pretty much all weeded-out of the work clothes that I don't like, and only own enough to get me through the week that I'm all actively happy about. Today I'll replace some low black dress sandals that smelled super-bad with another new pair (sometimes, old habits die hard).

Date: 2008-08-27 02:28 pm (UTC).....white-white cake?
Fabric: remind me....do you have any of that trim left you mentioned?
Stinky sandals: LOL! I just bought new Birkenstocks (the waterproof ones) because I can smell mine when they're in the same room!! Old habits, indeed. :)

Date: 2008-08-27 02:50 pm (UTC)Alas, the trim is all gone. I put it up on craigslist and someone grabbed it last night.
My family has a problem with keeping things way past their usefulness. I commented how my sandals were kind of smelly (leather, so I can't really clean them well) and told Brian that I thought they were giving me athletes foot (as I put some antifungal cream on). He yelled at me "THROW THEM OUT!" and I realized how silly I was being. :)
