We had breakfast at Cafe Bagel in Needham (yum) and headed down to grab our monthly milk in Foxboro. DW, they had meat, so we grabbed a lb for you. There was enough change from breakfast and groceries for us to hit a Starbucks on the way home for some pumpkin lattes. We have a couple hours at home to be productive before heading out to Raks Spooki. Brian's down to the wire for finishing up his Rex and is working with DW on his Snow Trooper. I spent last night cutting the muslin and piecing it together for Suave Calrissian and the fit is pretty good, safe for some tightness around the shoulders. Brian is going to tweak the muslin on Tuesday night, cut the fleece and work with him on finishing the thing up.

The rebels are working on the landspeeder today and the imps on the dewback. The parade is a week from today. Whatever happens, I know the groups will look awesome, and we'll have a lot of fun. I think this event is my most favorite of the year.

I had hit the farmer's market yesterday to buy more autumn harvest goodies: green beans, potatoes, kale, some random broccoli (!) and I'm sure I'm forgetting some stuff. I washed and cut the beans, blanched them and put in the freezer to hang out until Thanksgiving, and the potatoes are down in our basement with last week's squash to also hang out for the same meal. The turnips are in our crisper drawer (which allows for adjusted humidity, so I turned it low). We have 2 more weekends of the farmer's market, so I want to use them wisely. Less vendors are there each week. I'm having fun with this freezing/canning thing. Tomorrow I'm going to do some apple butter and some ketchup (I have the day off for this energy audit thing).

OK, I'm a big dork, but I love sitting in the den with the fireplace DVD playing. It throws a good deal of light and the noises with our sound system are very much like sitting in front of a fireplace. I'll take what I can get. I did some grocery list making, and I have time to read and do some knitting before we head out to Arlington.

Mal just gets snugglier and snugglier the longer we have him. I'd say that for half of the time we were in bed last night he was squished up to one of us. He's still not sitting on me, but I'm holding out hope for it. :)
