Looking for a new bank?

We love Watertown Savings Bank (our accounts and mortgage are there). Not only are they local, been around for a long time and don't sell their mortgages, they give back locally http://www.dailynewstribune.com/news/x260342694/Watertown-Savings-Bank-divides-50K-prize .

I used to belong to WSB, but when they stated charging me fees for being laid off (which ended my direct deposit) I swore off banks, on the premise that they were the best that banks were going to get, and went with a credit union. DCU manages to offer incentives to people to do direct deposit without charging people who can't.

They don't actually do this anymore (the free accounts do limit how many checks you can write a month, but since I pay everything electronically its not an issue). :)

My very first bank account was with WSB, and I still have it as my main account. Not only do I love that they are local, and won't merge with a bigger bank, I LOVE that I can take $5 bills out of the ATM. :)
