The parade was fun on Sunday - the weather was perfect! This was our 2nd parade with R2 roaming the street, and unfortunately he is so slow that it resulted in a huge gap behind the group in front of us and us. No more R2 driving along parade routes until he gets faster I think! Pictures can be seen on Andrew's flickr site here http://www.flickr.com/photos/jeditrilobite/sets/72157617016013457/ . We had folks back at our house after the parade and the last people left at 10PM - long day! I'm bummed we missed Greek Easter with EJ and Christina, but what can you do?

We're trooping Saturday at http://www.higgins.org/, doing some armor presentations and trying to show the relationship between the SW universe and real historical arms and armor. The museum seems to be doing some neat events like this, so if you can't make it on Saturday but are into this kind of stuff you should definitely check them out!

We leave in less than a week for our vacation and I can't wait. I'm not sure if all of my work is going to get done at work, but I've managed to stay in a kind of a Zen place and I'll be OK if some things have to wait until I return (my boss has assured me that this is OK).

I've had fun traveling and I'm excited about this vacation, but I'll also be excited to be back to 'normal' life again. There are lots of house projects, sewing projects and things of that like that I want to get back into.

I'm so excited for your vacation for you! Work will wait - it's important but it's not brain surgery.

I'm still thinking about coming Saturday, what time does stuff get started, if you know? I just looked at the site and I can't tell. I've never been in the Higgins, oddly.

The museum is open 10-4 and we're there all day. Brian is doing the panel (one at 11, one at 1:30 maybe) and there should be other things going on during the day in addition to normal museum stuff - a perfect day to go! :)

I can't wait to hear about your trip--I am very envious as I have always wanted to go to Italy. Show me how awesome it is so that I will feel even more pressured to go and will perhaps be motivated to save! ;)

The Higgins event looks awesome. I am really tempted to go for a little bit if I have too much schoolwork to make it up to VT (which looks likely). I just don't want to get in the way because it looks like it's already going to be a pretty well-populated event, and I don't really want to do my TK (I'd like to actually SEE some of the demonstrations ;D) so I'm not sure what I could bring to the table. It looks like such a cool event, though!
