A quick homemade dinner, courtesy of our freezer.
Sitting in the Border's Cafe in Burlington, flipping through magazines.
Finally getting the original Fame movie on DVD, complete with extras and a soundtrack that has 3 additional songs.

Date: 2009-10-22 01:33 pm (UTC)My ballet class is doing a routine to Out Here On My Own this year (which, along with "Fame" were the only two songs from the original to make it into the recent movie remake). They did have a 'Hot Lunch Jam' and 'Sing the Body Electric' scene, but they were more modern songs to appeal to a modern audience.

If you view the new movie as a modern interpretation and leave it at that, you may like it. They took pretty much the same movie, same character ideas but made it a bit more modern. I missed the characters/actors/songs that I loved and that will always be *my* Fame, but I love that a new generation is getting to see it and appreciate it.
