Okay, they keep calling that white substance that comes in those awful 5 gallon white and green tubs "Drywall Mud". Its JOINT COMPOUND dammit! I should know; I was plagued with those damned buckets all over the house (my Dad likes to store things in them).

Although, the Do it Yourself network is a neat one (I guess they are owned by HGTV).

I can't wait to get in and work on our house *makes Tim Allen noise*. I will make my Dad proud :)

Drywall mud is a national genaric term.
It's like saying Cola, or POP, or Soda.
I call it plaster.

Drywall mud is the renovator's best friend. Especially if you've got slat and plaster walls that have cracks or imperfections. I've had to become rather skilled with it doing touch up on my new place. Have fun!
