Roseanne

This is a great article http://nymag.com/arts/tv/upfronts/2011/roseanne-barr-2011-5/ . I had no idea of the history of this show's creation. I loved watching it, and felt it more accurately represented our homelife than anything else on TV (though my Dad was the comic relief, more often than Mom).

I loved the show too--it was my ritual through grad school to take a 4:30pm Roseanne break from studying. It put me back in the real world.

I'm sad that she couldn't have the full control over the show that she wanted/deserved. My already rather high opinion of George Clooney just got higher after reading about the chocolate award :)
