Which way?!

The craziness of my weekend has still not left me. We had an early and important meeting on Monday at 7:30 and I've been busy since then, with my computer running slow despite it being a newer, faster one. I need to find a better solution than MS Access. I have a deadline and the slow run times to calculate what I think should be fairly simple queries is frustrating.
I got home and did a ton of cleaning last night and after making dinner we went out to catch up on groceries. After going to 2 places and getting everything in the house Brian and I had an hour or so before bedtime to catch up on our day on the porch. I'm so happy it's porch weather again!
I was back at work today for another early meeting, this one a presentation on empathy in heatlhcare delivery - very neat http://jama.ama-assn.org/content/304/14/1604.extract ! Though the presentation was aimed at physicians there were some good general lessons on dealing with people. Take a minute to figure out how you're feeling and be cognizant of how that impacts your interaction with another. Pay attention to their emotional cues so that you can respond effectively. As we spend more and more time in social networks or get busier with our schedules I think this is more difficult for us to do. Our grandmothers would be ashamed of us.
I am looking forward to having a quiet weekend planned. I have a choice in how I spend my time and I've been doing far too much running around lately. I'm the only one who can stop this. :)
