It has been a week. I'm glad that it's Friday.

Some guys from the Northeast Remnant Garrison (NJ) are coming out to our house this weekend to build 6 suits of animated-clone style armor (plus helmets). It won't be as nutso as the Garrison Carida build last fall, but it will be one HOT, nerdy time. And there will be some kind of webcam - watch Brian's Facebook for details.

The dance studio pool party is Saturday - woo hoo!

Maybe we can kick people out early enough on Sunday that Brian and I can spend some time together? It has indeed been a busy week and we haven't seen too much of each other.

Is it lunch yet? Is it 4:00 yet?

I've been reading Water for Elephants thanks to a co-worker and I LOVE it. I want to go see the circus, though knowing how they care for their animals nowadays, I don't. Brian and I need to hit a zoo if we get a mild weekend day soon. We've been meaning to check out Southwick. We also haven't been to the drive-in in forever, and the Mendon Twin is out there. Hmm.

Next weekend we're taking a day trip to the White Mountains in NH with Tember and Corey (he's never been) and I am so excited! We haven't been up in that area since my brother's wedding last October.

In a couple of weeks we're seeing the GLEE 3D movie and a couple weeks after that we can find out if we're having a male or female dianoga. Crazy!

I finally picked up the Baby Bargains book and am feeling much better about the ohmygodhowdoIdecidewhatkindofcarseatstrollercrib fears I was having. We have to fix stuff in the house before we start moving more things into it though. Work on our house is on my mind quite a bit lately: deleading, relocating sewing things, and decorating babe's room. Given this nasty heat as of late I don't think I'll want to paint our hallways until it cools down in the fall. If at all. Maybe I'll just get lazy.

If you'd like company on your zoo trip, we'd love to go! I love the zoo, and haven't been to any of the zoos out here yet!

I did NOT like Water for Elephants. I guess I'm too sensitive a soul or something. It depressed and upset me greatly. I read it several years ago, back when it was on the best seller list and people were raving about it, and I did not share the love.

You can blame my husband for this nickname. A parasite, lives in water, light coating of hair, has one eye (you only ever see one in those weekly 'your baby is the size of a lemon' e-mail). Dianoga!

He's already planning the Dianoga halloween costume for October 2011. Based on the figure that came in the original Death Star play set (versus the version that was actually in ANH).

The green shark thingy?

(I suppose I'm lost in geekdom, too.)
