Baby Registries

Brian and I have decided to register at Target (brick and mortar) and Amazon (online) for baby stuff. There are some things that haven't made it on there yet because we need to check for sizes, we're still up in the air about what we want, or we are getting some freebies.
Are there things that are dumb (not sure of the quantities mostly)? Missing? Things you would like to give to us or sell to us so that we don't have to buy new?
Thanks in advance! :)
Our sites are here http://www.target.com/RegistryGiftGiverCmd?isPreview=false&status=completePageLink&listId=0BvysE3QCcCuHW7Ij9jffg®istryType=BB&isAjax=false and here http://www.amazon.com/gp/registry/registry.html?ie=UTF8&type=baby&id=3AJO9SNUW5FTC

Date: 2011-09-07 06:12 pm (UTC)When I go to baby showers, I usually bring these knowing that everyone else will bring cutesy little outfits that the child will never wear in the first few months of life.
I also like the outfits where mittens can fold over the hands because babies like to scratch themselves. [As in this picture - http://www.amazon.com/Baby-Soft-Footie-Months-Chocolate/dp/B002BMQH6Q/ref=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8&qid=1315419133&sr=8-3]

Date: 2011-09-07 06:09 pm (UTC)If you get them early, you could always tie-dye them (or regular dye them, or decorate them some other way).
One of my friends had a baby shower where people took white onesies and decorated them with paints and stencils. It was cool.
Swaddleme - loved that thing. I had a few varieties but the one you have here, I think, was my favorite, because of the velcro.
You know you have more than one diaper bag listed? Also, just because I think Brian would like them, have you checked out the "Diaper Dude" bags? I assume you've done your research, but didn't know if you knew about Diaper Dude. I'm also a big fan of these bags - I have it in purple. I like in particular the strap as it's very comfortable to carry: http://www.amazon.com/Slide-Diaper-Bag-Black-Gaga/dp/B005L4DBX8/ref=sr_1_2?s=baby-products&ie=UTF8&qid=1315418677&sr=1-2
As far as Diaper Pails go, I really have to recommend the Diaper Genie Deluxe II. Never had had an odor from it. But the downside is the diaper genie refills - we just have it on subscribe & save from Amazon.
Also, you totally need one of these (or two): http://www.amazon.com/Basic-Comfort-Ultimate-Crib-Sheet/dp/B00003XAKP/ref=sr_1_1?s=baby-products&ie=UTF8&qid=1315418576&sr=1-1
They are crib sheets that snap-on and off. So you don't have to remove the mattress when you're doing a middle of the night sheet change.
For sheets, make sure to get multiples for whichever bed you're using - one night, Kai went through 3 sheets in one night.
Oh! We had one of these for tummy time and Kai loved it. He would just lie down in it and stare up and play with things, or lie on his tummy and play on it. It was one of the only times I could put him down and not have him cry (he was a VERY attached baby). You don't HAVE to have it but if you can get one, I recommend it. You can always switch out the toys that hang on it for other toys (this is just an example - there are lots of different types of these playmats).

The baby bouncer you put on there is good too - I used to take that into the bathroom with me so that I could sing to him while I showered. I also used to put him in it to sleep sometimes - he would go into my dance room with me and sleep while I danced.
Baby toys - we are going through Kai's infant toys and have created a box of said toys. Most are hardly played with - would you like to take a look?
