Hurricane Sandy caused us to lose power for almost 2 days. Thank heavens for a well insulated house and mild temps. Mina was so droopy and tired, and perked right up when the power came back on. Our food seemed relatively unscathed, though we did toss the dairy stuff in our fridge.

Halloween! Passing candy with kid and bedtime, we'll see how that goes tonight.

I cannot believe it is almost November. I've started Xmas shopping. I've usually made a bigger dent at this point.

I can't wait to get Miss Thing her toy kitchen. Maybe this weekend? We are staying home Sunday to clear our yard. Anyone want to come hang with us? We're pulling plants, raking, and will eat some kind of comfort home (at home or locally). I'm not looking for help with the work, but Mina may appreciate someone to play with (and the mealtime company may be nice, either way. Poke one of us IRL if you are interested.

For Kai's first Halloween, we sat outside on the porch and gave out candy with him in his costume. I think we did the same for the 2nd Halloween. for his 3rd halloween (last year), we did our first trick-or-treating. This year (he's 3) he finally GETS trick-or-treating, costumes, nad halloween.

We did the same - gave candy on the porch with her. She fell asleep around the time she would normally, just on Brian on the porch. I woke her up to bring her up, change her, give her a bottle and finally put her to bed (she hadn't eaten enough during the day but had already breastfed for the last time for the day, so I had nothing else to give). She slept normally after that, so it was a good experiment. :)

Thanks! We're not looking for help with stuff, just company more than anything (but we need to be good and just stay home to get the work done). Gotta eat at some point though, right? :)

I understand :) Perhaps a more accurate translation would be: I'm excited to swing by and catch up. I just might happen to pick up a rake while chatting with friends ;) Or yes, food is another good option.
