I have ballet class tonight! I watched last week given this cold/sinus thing I as fighting, so I'm excited to get back into it.

Mina cut her first molar! Her crankypants nature at night lately now has a cause. I had been warned that the molars are no fun at all (even less fun than the other teeth). Oh boy. She is such a snugglebaby though - she will wake often but just some love from Mom or Dad usually will calm her enough to rest.

Our girl has sensitive skin, prone to rashes if something doesn't agree with her. We've stopped giving her tomato, avocado and cantaloupe because they all seem to irritate her (her face while eating, her bum on the way out). Red (sweet) peppers did the other day. My coworker mentioned that the tomatoes and peppers are both in the nightshade family, and looking online, there is something to a sensitivity to plants in that area. For now I guess we will avoid them. The girl eats everything regardless of what it is doing to her skin, so I'm trying to expose her to things but also keep her comfy. It stinks. We love food with tomatoes. I'm hoping maybe that avocado was a fluke, and want to try it again. It has some great properties.

We can't find a babysitter for the night before the Southie St. Pat's Parade, so I'll be going to the annual 501st/Rebel Legion socializing at Flat Top Johnny's and Brian will stay home. He is going to see everyone the next day when he troops the actual parade, and I stay with Mina. Anyone want to get together with us ladies on Sunday 3/17? :)

Lots of interesting things going on at work. Having some downtime, I've been able to dig into some weird/curiosity type data questions as of late, which is my forte. I love messing around in the weeds to try and find things. It is a love/hate kind of thing. I tend to be a squeaky wheel when I find oddness in the data. Me = nerd.

We are celebrating my Gram's birthday this weekend at my brother's house as we've done every year since she passed away. I'm taking a tip from the 'minimalist parenting' school and bringing something easy - a pasta dish that will be easy and quick to make but a good comfort food thing (also, easy transport to NH). The rest of our weekend is fairly open, which I am very excited about! Unstructured time is both decadent and necessary!

I did poke some folks about commissioning the Leia Endor/Ewok dress. We'll see how that pans out. I'm having concerns about the time available to get it done. We'll see where it goes. I could make it myself, but it would mean I'd be excluding a lot of other enjoyable things I would do with my free time when I wasn't working, dancing, caring for Mina or sleeping. :)

I can't express how much regret I have that I can't be that go-to babysitter for you.:( Its the one thing that I can't get past being sad about. I'm trying though, because if I allowed myself to do the thing that would make me feel better, Mina would have SO MUCH CUTE STUFF you'd need to buy her her own house. (Feel better thing = shop for cute kid stuff. Lots of it. And ponies.Oh and a puppy bouquet!)

You love tomato... I can do without it just fine ;)

And thinking about it, too much tomato sauce gives me pretty nasty heartburn so it's not surprising. I'm sensitive to so many foods that I eat anyway... I just accept the discomfort as part of it.

*POINTS* PROVIDER OF THE FAULTY DNA! SHAME SIR, FOR SHAME!

(Yeah that happens to me too, I've enjoyed making pasta with things NOT tomato sauce-y. And I'm pretty sure she'll grow out of it. Nephew was allergic to tons of things he devours with gusto now. And personally have just accepted avacado/guacamole as my lord and savour. I mean saviour. No, I meant savour OMNOMNOMNOMNOM.)
