Last night was the most fun I've had at a club in a long time. I decided to wear my 'my sugar daddy is a leather daddy' ballgown because it was dressy but nothing I'd be uncomfortable wearing out in the streets of cambridge (the other alternatives were the can-can outfit or my short PVC shirt, PVC boots and PVC bodice - but its too warm to be wearing coats to hide them outside yet) :) B actually danced once! And most of our close friends were there to hang out with :) As the alcohol poured through the night they got sillier and flirtier and dancier (whoot) :)
The performances were great, I have to hand it to Cusraque and the other participants. Dita was amazing as always - though we've seen a point-shoe number and the fan dance before it was still wonderful. Deadwinter was really cute throughout the evening; I think that Dita broke him :)
Now I only wish I had some more comfortable sexy high heels. I have a pair that I really love the look of that I got at Aldo - they are like high heel Mary Janes. But there's something about the angle of the shoes that puts enormous pressure on my knees after standing for hours (hence why I was kind of bouncing around in place to keep moving at the end of the night). And the part above the toe that touches my foot is squared off so I always get some interesting marks (and sometime bruises) after wearing them for too long. I guess its back to the Fluevogs ;) I can dance very well in tap shoes - but those are only a 3" heel and are designed in such a way to be comfortable :) Oohh - maybe I'll just pick up some black t-strap tap shoes at some point and leave the taps off (the issue is though - why would I pay $80 for nice shoes that can't really be worn outside in the rain or snow)?
OK - I need breakfast (and some lounging and exploring of our new hood with the hubby today - in addition to some random house stuff before heading to a b-day party later). Oh yeah - and more homework . . .
