We had an amazing Friday (which I've already written about here) - I wonder if something was in the air. We've fallen away from so many acquaintances due to (I guess) the fact that we don't go out much any more or to our 'settled-down uncoolness' or something - each week there are a few parties that we didn't find out about that we used to be invited to. It was very nice to be smiley and dancey and silly with friends in a smokey club; its nice to connect with people on some kind of level or another :)

On Saturday B and I explored our new 'hood a bit after sleeping late. I've been to concerts on the Natick Common before but never poked around at stores. You can see a nice article about the teeny area we explored at http://www.boston.com/globe/calendar/features/commuterrail/natick.htm .

We headed into the Center and walked around the stores and in the Farmer's Market after having breakfast in "The Bakery on the Common" (they have a website but unfortunately its down now). I was able to check out the schedule for the http://www.natickarts.org/ ; I'd like to see some performances at some point. There is also this great little tea shop http://www.thevillageteashoppe.bigstep.com/ with hundreds of varieties of loose tea; B and I chose 4 of them to start out with.

That night we went to a small birthday gathering in NH. "Apples to Apples" is definitely a neat game (and we always have fun hanging out with Jetgirl and Memento Mori). They are currently in the throes and excitement of first-time homebuying. Its a long, strange journey but is SO much fun in the end :)

And yesterday was the day of much estrogen and testosterone. B had a network geeking party while the ladies went out shopping and concluded the evening with a viewing of "The Wedding Singer". I'm glad we could accommodate so many geeks in the house comfortably (though the silence was just really odd - they all had headphones on).

After such an eventful weekend I'm feeling tired (though getting up at 5:45 AM to be here by 7:00 AM may have something to do with that, *yawn*)
