we were using the recycled newspaper shavings things, but for some reason sam started to buy the pine shavings. i knew it wasn't right, but i didn't want to argue with her about it because she wouldn't listen to me and she'd just do what she wants. i left a small block of wood in there when I dropped off the cage. I threw it into their box, so if its not in there, then cynthia must have thrown it out (it was new when i put it in there).
And i hate that cage. There is a 4 ft long one at pet supplies plus on lexington st. for only $100. I told her she should invest into that because it will do the bunnies good.
When we got the bunnies, they were already depressed. We would let them out frequenlty (in the beginning anyway) to run around in sams room, and as time went by she stopped letting them out because she wasn't home much. Since day 1, they have always been very close to each other and affraid of everything. They have been neglected (not so much by sam & i, but in a way we did neglect them a little (ex: small cage, laziness to buy correct shavings)). More so neglected by whoever had them before us. I think the people at the pet store told us that they were left at the front door overnight if I remember correctly.
