dancerjodiFree time is a good thing. I had forgotten how much I liked it :)
I slept late yesterday since B was willing to give Max his 7:00 AM insulin shot and after waking up and having a late breakfast lounged around watching bad TV. Then after shower and some homework, my sweetie came home from work and I made us dinner.
We got to pass out candy to cute trick-or-treaters finally! My parents get TONS of kids in their neighborhood so I was so upset when we moved to the apartment near Charles Street where parents don't let their kids walk around at night and as a result we didn't get any. This summer after we closed on the house I had asked super Italian Neighbor Vinny if there were kids that trick-or-treated in the neighborhood and he said "some" and told us of some teens that may try to cause problems.
They started late, I think it was after 6:00 when the first kids stopped by. I think in the time we were here (till about 6:45 or so) the doorbell rang 5 or 6 times (with a bunch of kids there for each ring). Since we didn't want to get stuck with leftover candy we left the rest of it out on the stoop when we headed off to Salem. But some meanie actually took the cheap-o plastic candy buckets too. Ah well, I guess I'll just pick up a big plastic cauldron on halloween clearance so I'll have one for next year.
Salem was crazy as always. Its too bad we got their later than I had hoped given traffic because it would have been nice to spend more time wandering. There was a good group there which made it neat and after hanging around for a couple of hours we headed over to Kazama's for a short visit before heading home, half-asleep.

Today I'll be meeting B for lunch at his workplace; we're going to the China Pearl lunch buffet (mmmmm, I've been craving chinese food). After that I'll probably head into Boston to spend some time in the library (whee fun) if its not too late. If not, I'll have to go either tomorrow or Sunday (depending on which day will be the 'fun day' and which day will be the 'homework day').
Oh, and if anyone would like to hang out tonight at our place for pizza and watching spooky movies (Peanut's Halloween, Alice Cooper Welcome to my Nightmare Concert video AND the Nightmare before Christmas) let me know. We'd like to have a casual gathering of sorts and make some of the Pumpkin Spice coffee that's been sitting in the freezer.
