I like lazy Sundays, though I'm feeling the faint twinge of a sore throat. Lets see if I can fight this cold off like I did the previous one!
My Dad brought over 3 of our kitchen cabinets (he's got them all in my grandmother's basement and garage). Now there's those, a dishwasher and a double-sink in the basement that will eventually end up replacing the plywood crap we have now. It will be really nice, its just odd having a house all re-done with the exception of that one room.
My nephew is so cute, he rawks. It looks like I may be going to a mass with my famiily on Christmas Eve though (since he's going to be in a Nativity Play as a part of it). I have two fresh pictures on my refrigerator that he colored for me. The sad thing was, the first thing he did when he arrived was run in the house to look for Carlos and Nina (his old bunnies). He ran back to me asking confusedly where they were and I told him "they went to live with a really nice family that will love them and take care of them, where they can stay forever". He looked sad but also understands why he had to give them up, poor little kid.
After breakfast and hanging around a bit the fam left, B and I cleaned and hung up a new mirror and wall sconces for candles that we bought yesterday along with some sparkly red candles. Its amazing how much this place has changed in so little time; it still makes me very excited about teeny little things like mirrors and sconces.
Shortly I'll go and give myself a manicure again and then finish up homework reading before heading out to a pot-luck dinner. I'm going to try and give myself at least one weekend day to lounge around and do silly things like manicures, bubble baths or sitting with a masque on my face. It helps me to regroup for the coming week.
So what do you like to do to treat yourself and feel refreshed? Its a splurge its true, but I think for our own sanity we need to do something like that every once in a while!
Have a great rest-of-the-weekend all! *hugs*
