Day 2

Today feels like my Monday, I was out of the office yesterday at the whole company orientation. It was very odd, filled with lots of boring required activities (since we're hospitals and all, there's lots of laws to abide by). The last presentation was priceless - it was by the Director of Safety and he spent about an hour scaring us with what to do in the case of Anthrax, co-workers that want to go crazy and shoot up in the office and attempted kidnappings. I found out that on the reverse side of my ID badge I'll a have a listing of what all of the hospital codes mean (i.e. code red, code blue) so that I'll know what to do if and when they are announced. Weird.

I'm hoping my boss is feeling well, is in today and I can finally work with her in person. She's been going through chemo treatments and the first few didn't sit well with her. I'm having problems keeping busy not knowing what exactly to do.

One thing which I've forgotten to mention here, getting up early has allowed me some very peaceful and lovely views that you all miss out on sleeping later before work. As I drove past the farms in Sherborn over to get to the Mass Pike I saw the pink and purple sky remaining from the sunrise over a field full of horses. The snow was untouched in most areas and the quiet of the office is lovely to accompany me getting ready for the day, getting water for my oatmeal and catching up on back e-mails and voicemails.

Yes, I've been very happy with things in my life lately. I'm waiting for something bad to happen since things have been so swoony.

Tonight my plan after work is to change into comfy clothes, light a log in the fireplace and settle down for homework (I have a presentation to prepare for on Wednesday). I'll make B dinner and after spending some time together I'll continue with the homeworking.

I feel so decadent. Now if only I had remembered to bring in my CDs from the car my work environment would be complete . . .

Nothing bad is going to happen.
Things should go right for you, really. You and B deserve it.
Let me know what your schedule looks like, I'll take a weekend day off of my stupid schedule and we'll go get those manicures, and maybe do a bit of shopping. I can't the 14th, but otherwise I can arrainge it.
And that's saying something, since I'm blowing EVERYONE off, I'm just feeling guilty about it now.
Meep I have to get going, or I'll never get to work *hugs*

It usually occurs this way. We have some niceness, some stability - and then something throws us for a loop and changes things. The end result isn't always bad, but the interim is never fun :)

Well I'll be pretty crazy with school stuff until the end of the semester, my last class is Monday 12/16 and papers are due 12/19. But I have the whole week of Xmas off of work (watching my nephew each of those days except Xmas until 2:00 PM).

Hmm, we'll figure something out :)

You know, I think I'm babysitting the days before XMas too *lol* I'm sure something will come up, I totally understand about school, you may be the only person who DOES get my workload, although you're better at scheduling than I am *giggle* You actually get your work done.
