A while back my Dad wrote a letter to NewHampshire Magazine about how he and my mom met (and they decided it was neat and published it in their Valentine's Day issue with old and new pictures of my parents).

I guess my aunt wrote a sappy letter to the editor about it because she was so shocked:

>Dear Editor:
>As I was cleaning out a lot of paperwork I came across your magazine, the special Valentines section
>of the February issue where my brother John Paul Marmonti submitted the article "More Love at First
>Bite: Part 1." I remember how proud of him I was when reading the article. Our grandfather on the
>Marmonti side lived in Hampton Falls, NH and was and still is a mystery to us. We loved visiting his
>home and exploring the woods in his backyard. John is so much like him it's unreal. He has
>purchased property in NH and is looking for more to make NH his permanent residence.
>He is so much like our grandfather it's rather spooky; our grandfather passed away many years ago.
>Both John and Grandpa are artistic, can build houses from scratch and both are recluses in a way
>which allows them to be nice to people, yet seek that inner-self which requires them to paint and
>create. If you knew John as I do, you would not believe he would share his story
>with you, never mind your readers. I am six years older than John and growing up he was "just
>there", as a kid brother usually is. I am amazed at how much of himself he is now
>sharing with the public, and we will all benefit from his goodness. He played a guitar and sang once
>at Brandeis University with a group of friends. He wanted my mom and I to go, but told us we were
>not to look at him. Such is John.
>He taught Ballroom dancing at one point in his life. I guess I'm bragging to let you know when he
>makes that move to NH, it will be your gain and our loss.

The Reply:

> I didn't mean to take so long to reply to your note. I marked it to keep
> and then so much mail has collected in my in box it just got shifted
> into oblivion, until now. Anyway, thanks for taking the time to write.
> It was great of your brother to share his story with us and our readers
> and it sounds like you've got a great family. Consider yourself blessed.
