This was a wonderful weekend, made even more wonderful by the fact that my office is actually closed today (this is rare and all, seeing we work for hospitals that never close).
Friday night B surprised me with plans to http://www.buildabear.com/ (or in our case, a bunny). We named him Flopsy after our dear departed floopy-man - he's wearing black boots, pleather pants and mirror sunglasses :) .
Yesterday I read lots about statistical tests of correlation (ew) and we finally saw My Big Fat Greek Wedding. We're not Greek but Italian - and this reminded me too much of family parties at Gram's house when I was a kid. Its nuts and all, but I miss having such a large group of family members around.
We finally checked out http://www.belcourtcastle.com/ yesterday and saw the mini-ren faire that was going on. The faire was meant more for kids I think, but there was a small sword-play performance. That place is so amazing, so much stained glass in one place! There was a woman from Gloucester (Terry Milton, "The Stone Lady") there doing mini-readings based on the type of stone that you selected from her table. She seemed to be right on for Nihojin and I (no so much for B). I picked out an Agate that had water sealed inside of it, a "enhydro" http://www.kacha-stones.com/quartz_crystals_properties.htm#Enhydro . She said this signified that I had a deep connection to water and retained happiness/idealism and innocence despite some bad things that may have happened to me. Interesting . . .
Yeah we suck, we didn't make it to the Scissorkiss/Voltaire show - B is starting to come down with a cold.
And today I'll have major fun extracting data from a file using SPSS and writing a paper about what said data says. I did decide to skip the dance class tonight (don't worry, I'm not giving up that easily); it is snowing a lot, and I want to find something closer to home. I'm willing to compromise free time to do this but want to compromise the least amount of free time possible!
Have a wonderful day all! Go sledding or make a snow angel for me (I fear I'll be sitting in front of a computer for a long time).
