I'm at my computer and B is at his - we're waiting to head down to the bank and drop off our mortgage app and ask a few questions about it before work.

And then I see this http://www.livejournal.com/users/ejay/

I said "oh my God" and B chuckles at me "you guys are ALL like that - I think you get it from your dad".

Nice day yesterday of breakfast, seeing the unveiling of the new Waltham High School Arts Center (gods I am so jealous http://www.dailynewstribune.com/news_archive/local_regional/walt_arts04042002.htm ), a family dinner for my sister's birthday and ending the day with homework and other private stuff that you preverts can't know about :)

And now to mortgage land . . .

Well, almost. The guy gave us an estimate and said after he was able to do the credit check this afternoon he'd send out the official pre-approval letter in the mail (so we should get it tomorrow or on Wednesday).

B had an amusing description of the whole process: http://www.livejournal.com/users/bunicula/day/2002/04/08

I just called a realtor about a listing that I saw in Waltham - its a good price, nice area, lots of land for Waltham (.3 acre) and its a STONE house that has a fireplace, 3 season porch, garage, finished basement AND a hot tub.

The price went down and its been on the market for 2 months because the people that looked at it didn't like the fact that its RIGHT next to Rt. 95. I'm going to drive by this afternoon and see what things look like from the outside and if there aren't any major issues I'll be calling to schedule a time to see the inside with the realtor.

I'm not going to get too excited about things since anything could happen (who knows, there could be serious flood or termite damage in it) but its exciting all the same.

Weird, just weird!

Related to my family inheriting sappiness from my Dad, he sent me an e-mail today related to my Mom's valentine's present which I commented about here http://dancer.livejournal.com/day/2002/01/31

He wrote them a note thanking them for printing the story - he genuinely just wanted to thank them for giving him the chance to give my Mom a most interesting valentine's gift that she could boast to all of her co-workers about. But since he sent it to the editor they published it in this month's issue: http://www.nhmagazine.com/Main.asp?SectionID=7&SubSectionID=10&ArticleID=424

The funniest thing is that a cousin of his (who apparently lives in Derry, NH - which he didn't know about) wrote in to comment on it too! Small world I guess if you're Mom (my grandmother) is the eldest child of 19 (no foolin'!).
