Its been a nice one, again I find myself on a Sunday night wondering where the time went.

On Friday B and I were planning on going to dinner and seeing Gosford Park at the Capitol in Arlington. After a serious downpour (the clouds looked AMAZING) and a most wonderful dinner at http://www.zagat.com/Search/Details.asp?VID=1&PID=1&LID=3&LSID=16967&BRW=21&NDPH=Arlington%2FBelmont%2FWinchester&RID=32890 we decided to wait for it on video and spend some time driving around.

We made our way to Barnes and Noble when in a discussion of current politics I found out that B had never heard of http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/ASIN/0394865804/103-5645931-4303858 . I picked up the last copy they had of that to add to my Children's Literature collection and found a great new-agey book about women's spirituality and health through belly dance for $3 (woo hoo). After some further driving around what will be our new hood we decided to head home for some *cough* alone time :)

Saturday was Llama day! We went to visit the residents of the Outhaus with some other friends for massive amounts of cute fuzzy animals, archery, super-soaking and of course - the necessary meat fest that always occurs. After coming home to give the cat his evening insulin we headed out for some ice cream and classic car viewing at Nick's in Natick (you can see a description of it about 3/4 the way down this page http://www.erareplicas.com/dansommers/dan19.htm ) and some people were actually eyeing MY car due to its 3rd door (no kidding, it was like the commercial)! Being around classic cars just makes me want my 79' Monte more *drool* - we'll have the garage for it, now I just need to get in a good position where I can justify buying the car . . .

Since our city is in the process of having "Historic Waltham Days" there are lots of events going on this and next weekend; today I wanted to go to http://www.walthammuseum.com/ since it was free and to http://www.ultranet.com/~crmi/ since we were in the historic mind and walking around. We went to the first stop but found that they didn't open for another 1/2 hour. We went to the second stop and found that they weren't open on Sundays (dammit!). On the walk back towards the first stop we decided to finally explore The Massachusetts Antique Co-op (here's the site, but unfortunately its down http://www.massantiques.com/ ) on the way and after it started pouring gave up on Museum day (hmm, we'll do it in a couple of weeks).

We've spent the rest of our time packing, cleaning, discussing our kitchen remodel with Dad (he came by to visit the cat) and just relaxing. I think time is the most valuable resource we have - there never seems to be enough!

So we didn't have as exciting as a weekend as others going to Convergence 8 may have . . . but it was a relaxing one (and I think we needed that) :)
