Last Saturday B and I went to watch some bellydance before heading to a party (there were two that evening but we were only able to make it to one). After about an hour and a half of great entertainment by women of all different levels, http://www.thegoddessdancing.com/ ended the show by demonstrating one of their sacred shapes in an inspirational dance. After the show, B and I scampered off to get iced-coffee to keep us awake for the rest of the evening's festivities and I bounced around in the car to the bellydance CD that was in the dashboard.

I forgot to post about the experience due to other weekend craziness. Now that I'm coming back from the dead (sort of) with this cold I've finally sorted through piles of papers from the weekend, paid bills and found these lyrics from Saturday's show. I LOVE the 10,000 Maniacs (more so than Natalie Merchant's solo ventures) - I'm so bummed that they ever broke up.

***

I dreamed of a circle
I dreamed of a cirle round
I dreamed of a circle
I dreamed of a circle round

And in that circle I had made
Where all the worlds unformed and unborn yet
A volume a sphere
That was the earth that was the moon
That did revolve around my room

I dreamed of a circle
I dreamed of a circle round

And in that circle I was a maze
A terrible spiral to be lost in
Blind in my fear
I was escaping just by feel
But at every turn my way was sealed

I dreamed of a circle
I dreamed of a circle round

And in that circle was a face
Her eyes looked upon me with fondness
Her warmth coming near
Calling me "sweetness", calling me "dear"
But I whispered, "No, I can't rest here"

I dreamed of a circle
I dreamed of a circle round
I dreamed of a circle
I dreamed of a circle round

I don't usually like to do these kinds of things but, WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!

I have never had such a headache in my life as the ones I've had since Tuesday night off and on. I was hoping it was just stress or lack of sleep causing it and I was dutifully trying to relax and take my wannabe-sudafed until it went away.

But here I am on Thursday night, missing Netgoth Coffee :( and wanting to die. We're thinking its a sinus infection due to where the pains most often are occurring, the fact that I have all symptoms that B found on some sinusitis website and that people with asthma and allergies are more susceptible to them. Grrr!

B is so sweet though (I feel so bad that he's had to sit around and keep me company through this whole thing - he doesn't really NEED to, but he's a great guy). He SO wanted to go show off his new do' tonight - instead he walked down to The 99 to get us dinner and over to Walgreens to feed my Coca-Cola craving.

MMMM, swoon :)
