The early part of the week is always the most difficult for me. Monday I get up at an obscenely early hour to be at work by 7:00 so I can leave at 2:00 to get to class (and I get home around 7:15 PM). Tuesday I'm usually finishing up homework to prepare for Wednesday's class and tonight I'll be getting home around 10:00 or 10:15.

Mmm, the end of the week is always so enjoyable: more freedom to do homework at a leisurely pace since I don't have class again until Monday, Netgoth Coffee on Thursday night, relaxing at home with B and doing fun outside fall-like things with friends and the occasional party.

That's what keeps me going, really. That and the caffeine in my tea :)

Oh yeah - and dancing (1 2 3 shake your body now).

OK, I think I need more sleep ;)

Whee!

We're having network issues again and things are SOOOOOOOOO SLOOOOOOOOOOW. Our IS Department won't give us more space on our S-drive and we keep maxing it out. They are in the process of moving us over to some NAS system which will make upgrading easier but in the meantime things are having serious issues. We were all told that we had to take lunch from 12-1 so that IS could do some sort of change-over . . .

So I'm reading LJ and checking e-mail. My sister just sent me one asking if I'd be able to use any of my vacation time to spend the morning and part of afternoon with my lovely nephew. You see, he's just started at Catholic School and they seem to be out of school more than in due to days off for holy days (yeah I'm exaggerating - but I LOVED this when I was a kid).

She's going to send me the list of the days she needs some kind of coverage until she gets out of work at 2:00 PM and then I'll take some time off of work to entertain him. This is great! I love spending time with him but usually she doesn't want to let him go so B and I have yet to take him on our own to do fun kid things.

And now I need to figure out what to do. Even hanging out around our house, playing with bunnies and walking around the neighborhood (down to the horsie farm or the house that has a wallaby, no kidding) would be entertaining for him.

****

My sister also told me that he's already being checked out by the chicks (he looks older than his actual age which is 5). They were at the movies last weekend and a couple of 8 year old girls kept turning around to look at him, were smiling at him, were whispering back and forth and then actually MOVED to sit closer to him.

Egads!
