Weekend, weekend, weekend
Oct. 5th, 2002 09:25 amI love the weekend (have I mentioned that before)?
After work yesterday I made a stop at the party store to check out all of the fall and halloweenie stuff and pick up a few things I needed. While in there they played the Time Warp and Rock Lobster. Party stores always make me happy :) I got some purple cat peeps for my sweetie too!
On the way home I picked up 3 mum plants for our front steps. We have a flower-box type thing built into the brick porch and I thought I'd put them in there (with my little gourds and baby pumpkins around them). Unfortunately the plants are a bit crooked and that's really obvious with them up in those flower boxes. So I've put them on our steps (one on each one) and they look pretty nice. There's also some fake colored leaves wrapped around the wrought iron posts on the porch. Today - I want to pick pumpkins down the street and I'll put THOSE on in the flower boxes with the mini gourds and pumpkins instead.
And our bat birdseed things came in the mail yesterday! Today B is going to trim the Rhododendron with a neat extender trimmer thing (damn that thing cost $50!) so we can see the birds out our kitchen window feasting on the bats hung on our Dogwood and Japanese Maple tree.
I love the fall, I just love it!
We saw Secretary last night in Waltham after grabbing Dinner at Ciros with BadAndy - and met up with Bratling, Developer and Tiggerette at the theater. I loved it, it was funny and sweet and I was all swoony after the movie. You could tell who didn't 'get' it by the people grumbling about how they thought the movie was supposed to be a romantic comedy and it was just a screwed up confusing thing.
Hee hee, they mentioned Date #1, Date #2 and the Tomato Date in the credits (and B yelled out into the theater "HEY, he was the tomato sub"). He's such a cutie! I wish I had more energy when we got home around midnight to spend some quality time with him :)

Today is my homework day and tomorrow I'll be seeing my awesome nephew at one of his soccer games. Its so unfair that the weekend is so short!
