I still love the weekends even though the free time isn't as much of a big deal anymore since I'm not working currently.
B told me that he wanted to take me for a bagel after I woke up so after throwing on sweatpants, my old Simmons sweatshirt and some sneakers we headed out the door. I LOVE THE COOL FALL AIR!
We went to our new favorite bagel place which sells NY style bagels (Cafe Bagel, I can't find a website for them but there are a couple around Massachusetts) and on the way back home circled around the town green to head back to Rt. 9 East to be reminded that the http://www.firstparishframingham.org/events/pies_2002.htm is today. We decided to park and walk around a bit and check things out. There was also a big flea market on the other side of the town green sponsored by http://www.samaritansofboston.org/ .
Whoot! We've wanted to get a bagel baker (one of those stoneware things) for a while and almost bought one for $15 last week. We got one at the fair for $2! I also picked up a pumpkin for a carving party and a housewarming gift for a special couple soon to be closing on their lovely new home. It was nice to see the 'community in action', to see all the little kids activities they had, and to see people so excited to be contributing to their town. There are some really pretty old buildings surrounding the green, I think that B and I will probably head down one day to take some pictures.
Oh, and http://www.witchswoods.com was neat (we finally went last night). If you do decide to go though, dress warmly and be prepared to wait in long lines. The guide on our hayride was neat and they had some cool 3D things in the Vampire Graveyard (they even gave us 3D glasses). We decided to skip the haunted house because it was getting late and we didn't feel like waiting in line (again) to see it. Oh yeah, and they had the little 'raver kids' section where they had flashing lights, bleep-bloop music and a staff person dancing around in a spooky costume with glow-sticks while parents let their little kids expend some excess energy before heading on to the hayride. Man was it really odd!
