About a guy that started a website to support blue collar workers, and those wishing to go into blue collar work:

I got a cool mug at DC this past weekend - its leather over some kind of plasticy cup (good for hot or cold) and its very hard to see the seam between the two. Its black with a celtic knotwork design on it and its the neatest style of leather tankard that I've seen.

Check them out, though the site doesn't do the mugs justice in the pics there is a good description of them. B and I are going to KRF next weekend (either the 13th or 14th depending on weather) so if you see me there I can show you the thing in person.

On the faire note, I'm working on making a couple of skirts to wear for garb, since I don't really have very good or authentic ones. I picked up some good 'linen-like' fabric at The Fabric Place tonight for $1.25 a yard (!) in addition to stuff for JD's Xmas present this year (each year I make him some kind of fleece sweater/sweatshirt thing) tonight.

Wow, I did homework, made dinner, went fabric shopping, cut out parts for 1 of the skirts and should have time to pleasure read before bed. Now I just need to figure out how to get a workout in :)
