Too bad I can't do it (from the PRA e-mail list):

"Let your freak flag fly! This is a chance to wear your craziest outfit and go ballistic on the streets of Boston! Punk Rock Aerobics is leading the First Night Parade and we want you to be part of the show...(it's happening early so there is no way it will interfere with your evening plans).

Here is the deal: On this Wednesday - the 31st - between the hours of 4:30-6:30 in full punk Mardi Gras style we need you to do your thing with us while the Punk Rock Aerobics duck
boat leads the way! Wave with us in your best God Save the Queen Mother style! We promise you it will be loads of fun. Let's kick ass on the streets of Boston!

For those of you geared up to do a demonstration with us we will meet Tuesday (tomorrow) for about an hour and go over the songs - it's easy... please write back and let us know if you want to be a part of it!

Hope you had a merry XMAS and all that good stuff!"

Wilson is dead :( http://abcnews.go.com/wire/Entertainment/ap20031230_668.html

(thanks to Rebecca for the news)

This wasn't the best show in the world, but I have fond memories of Wilson, Heidi (was that her name?) and the monkey noise. It gives you a bit of an idea what growing up with my dad was like - just a bit.

I used to post these back when I worked at THP, because they put one up on our intranet each day. Sometimes they were lame, sometimes they were insightful, sometimes they just made no sense at all.

My dad is really into self help books and as such, has been giving them to my brother, sister and I each year for Christmas. He got me a Magnetic Covey calendar (um, ew) that I put up at work since the pictures in it are nice and all, and I needed some kind of wall calendar (I'm using the "Office Yoga" calendar that my brother gave me to keep track of meetings). He also got me this little book titled "1001 Motivational Quotes for Success" by Thomas Vilord. I figured I'd bring this in to work too, and pull quotes out of it for you all in LJ.

So today's randomly pulled quote is:
"I have had enough success for two lifetimes. My success is talent put together with hard work and luck" - Kareem Abdul-Jabbar

Oh,

Last post for a while (I need to get some work done), in case you were wondering Sanguineempathy rawks the mother f-in house! She found one of those candy cane pens, picked it up and mailed it to me :)

I did end up getting some after checking out 3 Walgreens stores in the general Malden area. The cashier thought I was nuts when I squealed "oooh, they have them!" and bought 9 of them (they were 3 for a dollar). Then Brian proceeded to make fun of me, saying I was just as bad as he was in his weird searches for Star Wars related toys or costuming materials.

I'm all set now for the coming 10 years of Christmas seasons (that is, if they hold up . . . Brian suggested that I put them in the freezer) :)

OK, I lied

This is funny, keep in mind I'm the only one in this picture that wasn't drinking (you couldn't tell by looking) :) work safe

We also have family holiday pics, but I can't find them on the site yet (my guess is that B is still tweaking them).

Edit: they were under the 'Family' section of the website, not the 'Holiday' one :). You can see us on Xmas morning in our matching PJs, see my nephew in the brown fleece Jedi robe I made him posing with the lightsaber Brian got him, and can see Developer fighting with one of those Rabbit bottle openers: National Lampoon's Christmas

This is the last Christmas present that I was working on sewing (the nightgown, not the Aileen) :) Thanks to Pir for the picture!
