Lots of random thoughts today
Jan. 2nd, 2004 08:39 amBrian and I bought a new couch yesterday at the Bernie and Phyll's Clearance Center in Everett (the two ends recline back - it seats 3 comfortably, 4 cozy). My parents gave me some $ for Christmas and we decided to put it toward more comfy (but cheap) seating in our den. We have that in front of the bunny's area and then the better of the 2 futons. Pictures are forthcoming. Last year's Christmas cash got me an Ipod, something that made me very happy at times in the gym, while mowing the lawn, or on long car rides.
On the gym note, I need to get moving again. I'm debating whether I want to go back to bellydance or not (if I'm not doing it long-term, I wonder if I should stop spending the $ and time at it now). I'd like to do more Punk Rock Aerobics, would like to check out http://www.bikramyogaframingham.net/ and would like to try to do more working out at home. My body is really craving it.
Its hard to get motivated in such a broken up work week. I'm here today and hope to do mindless things like filing, reading articles that I've piled up, and some data entry. Here's hoping the time goes by quickly.
We had a nice NYE, choosing a smaller gathering to the huge one we normally go to. Most importantly I think was our New Years Day spent chatting about the last year, realizations we've come to together (but in our own ways, from two different directions ultimately coming to the same conclusion - its nice when that happens). We saw some BAD movies thanks to Pir that we now need to pass on. I finally saw "Queer Eye for the Straight Guy" and am hooked.
OMG, I want to go to this:
Saturday, January 10: Shooter's, Exeter NH
Rock n Roll Bowling from 5-7, show from 7:30-1AM
featuring the Brimstones, The Coachmen, Thee Monkey Butlers, The Coffin Lids, Gein & the Graverobbers, Satan's Teardrops, Through the Keyhole Burlesque, and DJ Frankenchick.
Have a great Friday! What are you people up to this weekend?
