We went to a crafty day at a friend's house yesterday and I got the good trim sewn onto one side of my Episode II Battle Coat. It looks REALLY good. Here's hoping it won't take me too long to get the time to sew down the other side and pant legs. I've decided to slack on the trim that's on the inside of the coat . . . I'm not sure I'll have enough trim and I'm not that much of a stickler for detail (this is just a hall costume, anyway).

Last night's party was a lot of fun - more fun than I'd had at a party in a while. I'm glad we live near D&D and we need to definitely spend more time hanging out with them. I didn't want to leave when we headed out around 2:00 AM or so but I needed to get up at a reasonable hour to do homework today.

A friend told me she spent 6 hours during the weekend and one night per week working on her thesis - this sounds reasonable to me but it means I have to settle back into the weekend routine of one homework day, one fun day. I had an exercise to complete for the thesis class that's supposed to help us develop a research topic. I already pretty much have mine ironed out so the exercise took me a couple of minutes.

Later today I'm going to read the journal articles I've found and printed thus far - over 40 of them! The stack of paper is huge and kind of wasteful (those not used for my paper will end up recycled later) but I just need something tangible that I can highlight, make notes on, put in piles on the floor and bring around with me. I have a lot of problems when I print a buttload of articles at once; Brian's thought is that the printer gets tired and overheated (its kind of weenie, and after a while pages take longer and longer to start printing). Its kind of lame that I've had to print these in three different spurts to allow the printer to cool down. I have to say that over the years research has gotten MUCH much easier. There are a lot more resources on-line which reduces hours spent in old, dusty libraries scrolling through microfiche films :)

I'm asking Brian to take a picture of said stack later on; I've never sat down to read SO many journal articles in one day before. You can see me in all my Sunday homeworking splendor, lounging on our comfy couch in PJs with the roaring fireplace, some tea, some nice soothing background music and a cat. Hopefully Brian will join me for chainmail construction (and fire stoking).

My husband is really sexy BTW, I pounced him last night :)
