I'm a little stuffy this morning (spent too much time in the room with the bunnies aka allergens yesterday) so I'm drinking some of my cold tea. Its the stuff I was talking about on Saturday night in our discussion about herbal things. I'm completely amazed at its effectiveness in nipping colds in the bud - the placebo effect just can't be this good! On the note of Saturday night, thank you gracious hosts! I had a wonderful time and I'm really enjoying these kinds of gatherings where silliness and conversation ensues.
Somehow I managed to write my whole research proposal in around 3 hours on Saturday (save for some information I need to get at work, like a description of my sample and data set). I'll pull that information on Tuesday and make final edits to the report Tuesday night. This means that what I thought would suck up my entire weekend only took a few hours! Having Saturday, Sunday and today to do with as I wish is very nice.
B and I are spending today together and then going to the fam's for dinner tonight. I was trying to think of something nice and either free or cheap for us to do. I've been itching to go to the Peabody Essex Museum and walk around Salem but I'm thinking that should be saved until B has found a new job (Harrison's Comics is just way too tempting!).
I wish our 'hood wasn't so unappealing; I'd love to go for a long walk somewhere nice and feed birds like we used to do on The Charles. I'm wondering what this spring and summer will bring as the birds are making more noise, the sun is coming out more and its starting to smell *almost* like spring is here. I wonder if next December we'll still be here or in another house in a more preferable location. Whatever happens I want to make sure that we have the space to entertain - the reason I love having such a big house is that we can have people scattered all over it!
Have a wonderful day, all! I'm going to flip through some of my books to brush up on my Artemis/Diana lore and then I'll go pounce on Brian to wake him up for this day's adventures. I think that free time with people you love (friends, lovers, family, whatever) is the best thing in all of the world (and wouldn't you know it? its free!).
