I went to pilates yesterday, go me! This was my 2nd class with this teacher and I definitely like how she mixes up some of the workout and teaches in such a way that people of various levels can find it challenging. I wish she taught yoga at a time that worked for me. Ballet class tonight; got to keep that body moving!

After dinner and some reading while Brian pondered things with the RCN rep (it seems the modem is fine - its our router that was fried with the power surge) we went out to Joanne's so that he could grab some supplies for the Boba Fett costume that's in progress. They already have the halloween stuff out! I have to say, I can't wait for the fall to be here. We headed down the street for some tea, magazine browsing and conversation at the Barnes and Noble.

Its been an introspective week on many fronts (more for him than me). I'm along for the ride given that we spend a lot of time together and being around that kind of thing definitely makes me thoughtful. I've also found myself having less patience for other people's shit on various fronts. I've always found the start of the fall a good time for making changes, I think all of that time being in school makes me bristle at the thought of a new academic year. This will be the first semester I'm NOT starting classes in a very long time. I'm looking forward to making the most of my free time at my most favorite time of the year!

I tend to keep things out in the open where I can see them until they are taken care of. I'm a constant list maker. I'll leave empty boxes of allergy meds out on the counter so I remember to buy them. I'll keep e-mail in my inbox until they are dealt with (at which time I either save them or delete them).

I've had one such e-mail from my sister months ago. Our wedding photographer http://www.jasonthrelfall.com was trying to find us to get us our old negatives (we married in April of 1999, so its been a while) and he must have found her in the phonebook since she has my former last name. At the time we booked him his price included the cost of the day, the owning of negatives (after 2 years time) and a proof album. We never bought a regular wedding album because A) we couldn't afford it at that time and B) the proof album was really nice, actually. You can see his work from that day here: http://www.diabolis.net/gallery/thumbnails.php?album=63 . We couldn't have asked for a better photographer and it was a joy working with him (I really prefer the candid approach over the stock everything posed, using a checklist manner).

So I e-mailed him to find out about getting negatives. Perhaps we'll make a day trip out to Northampton one of these days (he's moved all over, first in Billerica, then to Medford, now Northampton) to grab them. I'd love to check out all of the little shops again. I feel like I should do something interesting with these negatives, but after 6 years I wonder, do we really *need* a fancy wedding album? Do we really have a good place to put one in this quest to rid our small house of the crap we own?
