After running around a bit and ordering subs for dinner, we got ourselves out to our friend's house in Brookline to be all piratey (matey!). Man, when he said Halloween was a huge deal in his neighborhood he wasn't kidding! The place was on 2 local news stations (a Pirate ship theme) and there were thousands of kids around (Aaron's parents estimate 800 trick or treaters at their place alone). Pictures should follow of us in our piratey goodness.
We left there with the Sandweasel and Tember after helping Aaron and his family break down the ship and porch decorations to come back to our place and watch the Stewie (Family Guy) movie. Given that I'm up at 6:00 AM each day for work I was nodding off in the middle, but caught a good deal of it (loved the Stormtrooper reference about not finding the droids they were looking for). After getting to bed at almost 2:00 AM, I was glad I took today off!
Brian's off working a bunch of Revenge of the Sith DVD release events, I just took it easy. Tember and I did some shopping after breakfast at Joan and Ed's Deli. I picked up the new Damone EP (not too bad - much heavier than From the Attic) and the 6 Feet Under 2nd Soundtrack so I could get that one song by Sia (the Tori Amos sounding one). Later, I got some cleaning done around the house. I'm going to watch Ballroom Bootcamp and then head to dance class. I'm telling you though, it was lovely weather to be driving a comfy, music enabled car around in earlier. Cruising days are back!
Later this week I'll try and get a bit back to normal with resuming the gym tomorrow, no more farm share pickups, and goffee on Thursday. This weekend we'll be at the MOS on Friday and Saturday and chilling with NEG people on Sunday. Nuts! Next weekend is an event on Saturday night, the following weekend is Supermegafest, and the following Thanksgiving. How do things pop up so fast?!
