I was all motivated and stuff last night, and did some arm exercises with dumbells (I'm a wimp, so I used the 5 pounders, doing bicep, tricep and back/shoulder exercises: 2 sets of 25 reps on each side) and 100 crunches (2 sets of 50 reps) - go me! Working out with the RCN music channel set to "Arena Rock" is amusing. I was able to do my exercises to the beat of the music and learn random facts about mostly washed up rockstars (for example, Alice Cooper had a column in his high school newspaper where title had something to do with hair). Lets see if I can keep up with it!
For dinner I cut up some chicken breast into cubes, marinated in greek marinade from the http://www.penzeys.com/ base for an hour and cooked on skewers on the grill. SO GOOD! We'll definitely try with lamb at some point soon.
We'll be trooping this weekend on Saturday in Wales, MA at a benefit for a family whose nine year old son has Krohn's Disease, and on Sunday at the Ride for [Brain Tumor] Research http://www.tbts.org/itemDetail.asp?categoryID=200&itemID=16308 . We'll be greeting returning riders at around noon or so, and who knows, maybe we'll bump into Wanderingsuzie (who usually does the ride). Post trooping, we'll be grilling food for geeks.
We leave for FL a week for today and I have SO MUCH work to do on the Lady Tusken costume. I'm not sure when I'll do it, since we've got plans almost every night in the next week save for Monday - but it will get done. Uhr urh urh! Brian finished AT-AT helmet version 4 and its so much lighter, nicer looking, etc. Its done save for minor upgrades later when certain machined parts are available.
