On Friday we walked down for dinner at http://www.bisoncounty.com/, fed ducks on the Charles river, and walked over to the local theater to see Pirates 2. We both liked it, but liked the first more. It seemed like they took what worked in movie one and just did more of it (a bit too much) in this one.
Saturday was the Victorian Tea themed baby shower http://www.diabolis.net/gallery/thumbnails.php?album=293 that friends and I had been planning. I had a lot of fun scheming with this, and I think we did a good job. The Mom to be seemed to enjoy it, we had more than enough food, and it was fun just hanging out around her home (she could relax, and there was no need to drive home with buttloads of gifts). We finished off the night with friends over grilled food outside on the patio and then watching the http://www.metalhistory.com/ DVD in the den.
Brian and I got up early yesterday to drive out to the http://www.visitwhitemountains.com/. We haven't been since last fall, and wanted to check out some of our old haunts and get some fresh mountain air. After doing the North Conway http://www.mtwashingtonvalley.org/ shopping thing we did some hiking and sitting at Diana's Baths http://www.trails.com/tcatalog_trail.asp?trailid=HGN167-041 (so pretty) before heading across the Kancamagus http://www.byways.org/browse/byways/2458/ to Lincoln for dinner at Fresolone's on Rt. 3. We always do a lot of serious talking on the White Mts trips, since we're in the car for a few hours there and a few hours back. Its nice!
Why is it the weekends go by so quickly?
