Our sliced turkey was getting a bit funky, so I dug out a can of tuna in water from the cabinet and made a sandwich for work. I added some light mayo (I had bought for WW friendly deviled eggs this past weekend) and put in some Penzey's Sandwich Sprinkle. So good! dark green lettuce from the farm share and light/high fiber wheat bread and some mini cheddar rice cakes even it out (water to drink) and its low points-wise, but very filling.
We're taking a co-worker to dinner tonight at Joe's American Bar and Grill, since she's leaving us for a move out near Worcester. I was able to check their website and pick something I've been craving (angel hair pasta with veggies, chicken cooked in olive oil and parm cheese) and I still have flex points left over.
Tomorrow starts a new WW week and a new weigh in. I'm glad we picked Wednesday to do this each week, because it gives us something to get excited about mid week in addition to the weekend.
I'm amazed how easy its been to eat well on WW, and I don't feel like I'm holding back much at all. Its true that we aren't eating all the junk we normally would on special days (like, when in North Conway we didn't buy lunch there, didn't buy candy at the Barvarian Chocolate Haus, didn't get ice cream, but we did get a small bag of Harry and David's moose munch w/ 2 servings that we shared) but we shouldn't be eating that anyway (garbage in - garbage out). On an average day, things with food are fine. We're cooking more, and experimenting with more things (I cooked up our Swiss Chard with a tiny bit of olive oil and garlic last night - I liked it, Brian did not . . . but we needed to use it up from our farm share).
And I bought myself a new bathing suit on Sunday night to replace the old one that's falling apart. Its a bikini top and skirt bottom and its a size smaller than the last one I bought!
